The self-cooled iron core linear motors of the ML3 series provide high power in the smallest installation space. The ML3 series of synchronous linear motors are a high output direct drive alternative to classic ball screw drives. With fewer wearing parts, increased mechanical rigidity and the highest positioning accuracy and dynamics, they contribute to a significant increase in productivity in factory automation. Thanks to the space-saving electromechanical design, these linear motors can also be installed in particularly restricted installation spaces. With their high synchronous running qualities, the motors achieve the highest quality in production due to their low braking forces and the resulting low force ripple. The design of the self-cooling motor series can save the cooling device on the machine and simplify the motor installation at the same time. An ML3 linear motor consists of an MLP3 primary section (coil) and one or more ML3S secondary sections (magnet plates). They cover a wide range of applications thanks to three size differences and variable length secondary components.
